History of ViolenceHistory of violences opening features a sequence of long cuts and mid shots. It features only diegetic sounds as we can hear the crickets making noise in the back ground and cars. When we reach the crime scene, we begin to hear the non-diegetic sound of music. This music gets more intense and louder as the girl enters the scene. Also, when we reach the crime scene, we notice more cuts
No Country For Old Men (2007)No country for old men features shots of landscapes, whilst we hear non diegetic sounds of a person narrating in the background. when the characters enter the scene, the narrating continues, and diegetic sounds begin to enter the scene, like the car door opening and driving off. When the action scene begins, there is a lot of cuts. Quick cuts of the scene from many different angles.

Zodiac
Zodiac stars off in a point of view style, as if someone were to be looking out a window of a moving car, we hear non diegetic sounds of music playing in the beginning. And through out we can hear non diegetic sound of music playing. The shots are close ups of the characters face, and we are able to see the fear on their faces. it also feautres over the shoulder shots when the characters are talking. The action scenes featuring gun shots had many different shots, and were in slow motion. and after the action music begins to play again.

Brick (2005)
The opening scene in brick features a boy discovering a dead body. The scene features low lightly, and a blue tint, this makes for a feeling of the scene being cold, and uncomfortable. The camera cuts from the face of the boy, to the dead body, but with each cut to the boys face the body part of the dead body changes. It then cuts to the wrist of the girl, where we see a bracelet. Then cuts to a school corridor, where the girls wrist is seen opening a locker. What this does to the audience is leaves us in suspense questioning how the body got there and wondering what happen to lead up to the girl being murdered.
